Sabrina, the new Google Chromecast?

The next Google Chromecast shouldn't be long in arriving! Richer and more complete than the current one Chromecast Ultra, this new model should come closer, like the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick, the one that is still the best streaming stick on the market: theAmazon Fire TV Stick 4K. Its code name, according to the site XDA-Developers at the origin of leak, would be "Sabrina" and should be associated with the Google Nest brand. One question burns our lips: will Sabrina be friends with Alexa? There is little chance, but let's see what it's all about ...

Sabrina: the new Google Nest streaming key?

At the beginning of March, Stephen Hall of 9to5Google revealed the existence of a google project to launch a new streaming device based on Android TV with the codename "Sabrina". A report mentioned in fact that a new model of Chromecast would be delivered with a dedicated remote control, like the Fire TV Stick 4K byAmazon, and which would be logical - finally! - autonomous. Google Sabrina: an attractive design

Far from the sobriety of a Fire TV, the streaming key of Google should take on more pleasant curves and colors. The leaked renderings indeed show a rounded device with a pleasant design and in particular a remote control with the most beautiful effect ...

Some images of the interface accompany the video marked with Xda-Developers and reveal to us a new Android TV user interface focused on Google content, with a list of TV shows and movies at the bottom. Better yet, and this should undoubtedly be of most interest to users of Google Nest Hub connected displays, Sabrina could display alerts and images from Google Nest doorbells and video cameras. A bit like what has long been possible to do with connected doorbells Ring and Fire TV at Amazon.

A YouTube TV app would finally be natively integrated, just like Google Assistant. In short, very likely, which should in one form or another soon join the Google Nest catalog. Will Sabrina be the scarecrow witch ofAlexa? This is what we will see in the future a priori very close…

An activity that allows me to quench my thirst for new technologies and share my discoveries about the nicest of communities: Les Alexiens.
