Alexa : a face behind the voice
Dance Amazon Unbound : Jeff Bezos and the Invention of a Global Empire, the American journalist Brad Stone lifts the veil on the identity of the famous voice ofAlexa, the vocal assistant for Jeff Bezos' firm. Among other revelations about the company, we learn that it is Nina Rolle, an American voice actress specializing in advertising brands such as Honda or Absolut. Although her site highlights the latter two, the resident of Boulder, Colorado did not neither denied nor confirmed his apparent collaboration with Amazon.
Indeed, if you know its original version, you will agree that the videos below leave little room for doubt and that the probability that Nina Rolle lends her voice to Alexa is more than great. A much warmer tone than that of Google Assistant or Siri which would have been selected by the teams ofAmazon after "Months of reviewing the recordings of various candidates produced by GM Voices for the project "according to Wired who quotes several pages of the book. A choice then submitted to Jeff Bezos who would have validated it without reservations.
But what about the French version? It's up to you to find her because we unfortunately don't know anything about her, and if we have tried to find her similarities with Simone Hérault, the voice that has embodied the SNCF for forty years, Amazon probably unearthed another… Unless?
